This throw sized quilt is perfect for new quilters as clever rotation of the courthouse steps variation block means that there are no seams to match up.
Make this quilt using purchased pre-cut 5" charm squares and 2.5" fabric strips or raid your stash and make something truly unique!
I hope you enjoy making this quilt. I know I did and it holds a special place in my heart as it is one of the first quilts that I designed myself and is the first (of what I hope will be many) to be published for others to use.
Happy Stitching!

Hi, I'm Alison.
A fully paid up patchwork and quilting junkie. A self confessed magpie I love all types and styles of patchwork and quilting and am eager to have a go at anything.
I first discovered patchwork whilst studying for a computing degree in 2004. Having given up my full time job as a management accountant, I hadn't realised that full time studying wasn't quite the same and so with only 12 hours of lecture time to fill my days I found myself in search of a hobby.
I decided to try and cheer up my rather shabby bungalow with some homemade cushions and blinds so borrowed my mum's old Frister Rossman sewing machine and blindly set to it! It didn't take long to run out of money and usable fabric and I found my self sewing together the smaller pieces to make new larger pieces...patchwork by accident you might say.
Then I spotted a copy of patchwork and quilting magazine, bought it, read it cover to cover a few times and was totally hooked!
