Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic quilting skills such as rotary cutting, piecing and machine quilting.

Pattern Description:

I LOVE batik fabrics and have been collecting them for awhile now, but have just started recently to actually cut them up and QUILT with them! When I found these coffee cup and coffee bean batik fabrics at my local quilt shop, Taylor's Sewing Centre in Brockville, I just had to buy them! It took me awhile to find more coordinating teal and brown fabrics but when I did, I knew I needed to find a way to use them all together in one project. I designed this cute wall hanging for my kitchen. It features fairly easy piecing and fusible appliqu so it would be suitable for an experienced beginner. I think it would look equally nice in bright prints or a country colour scheme.
