Basic Skills Necessary:

  • 1/4" seam allowance
  • Good working sewing machine

Pattern Description:

You can't help smiling and feeling happy when you make this sunshine quilt. How enjoyable to dream under these fabrics. Use 7 cheery fabrics. You will love making this quilt as the new half-square triangle block process has been streamlined and made easier for successful blocks every time called the "SAM HALF ANGLE" method. If you don't like cutting out triangles or spending time drawing lines, then this is the pattern for you! Add a flange next to the border for extra punch!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 45" x 62"

Materials:

  • White 2 yards
  • Turrquoise 1/2 yard
  • Yellow 1/2 yard
  • Pink 1 yard
  • Black 3/4 yard
  • Green 3/4 yard
  • Backing 4 yards

You Will Also Need:

  • 6 1/2" x 24" ruler (If you have 6" x 24", that's OK.)
  • Omnigrid Fons&Porter Half & Quarter ruler for Sam Half Angle method
  • Omnigrid Fons&Porter Easy Diagonal Sets ruler for side and corner setting triangles
  • 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" or larger square ruler-should have diagonal line.
  • My patterns include lots of pictures and diagrams, therefore, they are a little longer
