Yum!! Now you can have your pie and eat it. too!
It all started with a piece of fabric - cherries on a black and white gingham background. The fabric simply begged to become a cherry pie! Then I looked at all of my lovely new Christmas bits and pieces. How could I not do a Christmas pie at the same time? But which crust to use? Plain crust? Lattice crust? My pals on my facebook page overwhelmingly asked for both, so both it is.
With this pattern there is a choice of two different pie crusts and two different corner designs. Mix and match, design your pie, and choose from cherries or holly for your corner. I even tossed in an apple template for the corner just in case someone really, really prefers apple pie.
You will find that this mini-quilt, with its simple pieced background and quickly fused applique goes together very easily.
The pattern contains 6 pages of instructions with photos, plus full size templates for the appliques. Two full size layout plans are also included.
I would love to see photos of your completed work in the completed projects section of this pattern page.

Since retiring from my teaching career I've discovered that there is life outside of the classroom! I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes, so even if they look complicated, the instructions should be easy to follow.
