Missed the free version of this quilt along? You can still join in the fun.... now available to download in this paid version; during the month of February.
There is a one-time fee charged to anyone that joins in February, March, or April. See fee schedule below.
The project began 05-January-2014, and since five lessons are already available to current participants; they are included in this pattern. Your next lesson to download will be available 09-January-2014.
How this works:
Each week; a new lesson (PDF document) is posted on my own website that includes the instructions and templates to make the next applique block. The pieced block instructions are already included in this pattern. (A private link is included in the pattern to access these lessons.)
For inspiration; and viewing completed blocks, visit the Gallery on the website to see my own blocks; or visit the Facebook page to see current participants sharing their quilt blocks.
This pattern is for February only. In March, and then again in April a new pattern will replace the previous month's pattern to include additional lessons. If you join in February; you will continue downloading the new lessons as instructed in this pattern.
Join during the month of February:
For $2.85, and the pattern will include the first 5 lessons; with 12 more lessons to download.
Join during the month of March:
For $3.85, and the pattern will include the first 9 lessons; with 8 more lessons to download.
Join during the month of April:
For $4.85, and the pattern will include the first 13 lessons; with 4 more lessons to download.
Completion time: 17 weeks
Began: January 5, 2014
Ends: Week of April 27, 2014
IT STILL MAKES SENSE TO TRY THIS:
......The weekly lesson makes two blocks: one pieced block and one applique block. These are chosen in random order; and then added to the quilt layout map in subsequent lessons.
......Each applique design is presented with a black and white image, allowing you complete freedom to select your own fabric colors and design elements.
......To create these unique applique blocks; your inspiration is taken from events in your life (or the person for whom you are making this quilt) as the name given to this quilt, "Life's A Journey" suggests, whether real or imaginary.
......The applique templates are reversed and ready to draw onto the fusible web paper.
If you prefer making wall-hanging quilts; this will make the perfect project to start off a new year. Benefits include: much less time, money, and fabric needed to complete this delightful scrappy quilt; the perfect gift for someone special.
However, if you like making larger quilts, there are two options included in the pattern. Fabric requirements shown here are for the wall-hanging size.
It has been a real pleasure sharing my quilting journey with you; and to be a part of your experience, by you discovering my pattern designs.
My quilting group in the APPLIQUE MYSTERY QUILT ALONG are very creative. Several options available to still join--March pattern coming soon.
