Pattern Description:

This simple 'raw edge' applique technique makes this a beginner friendly project. You will have a beautiful cushion made in no time!

Main Technique: Raw Edge Applique (2 in 1 quilting technique)
Envelope back
Best Fabrics: Quilting cotton; linen, fabric scraps
Clear illustrations included throughout
Templates provided

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 19" x 19" (48cm x 48cm)


  • Main (front and back): 1.25m quilting cotton or linen, 1.25m calico/sheeting (won't be seen), 0.75m compressed wadding (at least 45"/114cm wide), Variety of scraps for 8 leaves (at least 4"/10cm square) & stem (0.5"/1.5cm x 17.5"/44.5cm)
  • 0.5m bondaweb, 1.25m of 1"/2.5cm wide pre-made binding (for envelope opening), 20" (51cm) square cushion filler, Thread to compliment the main fabric, and thread to contrast with the leaves/stem fabric, Basting spray (505), Non-permanent fabric marker or chalk pen, Paper cutting scissors
