Make this versatile tote for shopping, travel, or everyday errands. The roomy tote in two sizes includes directions for using already-quilted double-sided fabric as well as directions for substituting quilted fabric you make yourself with your favorite fabrics.
The tote features a separating zipper in the top panel, which you can unzip completely so the panel drops down inside the tote. Pockets on the outside are sized to keep items you need at your fingertips. Inside pockets on all four sides offer lots of places to store and organize your belongings. The pattern also includes a double-layer, coordinating eyeglasses case.
The optional attached coin purse for a secure place inside to stash your valuables.
Note: On 4.12.13, I have posted a new PDF. The only change is a typo on page 9. If you've already downloaded and printed the pattern, you need only print and replace page 9. Nothing else has changed.

I am a published sewing and quilting author with several books and many magazine articles to my credit. My most recent book, How to Make a Quilt was published in August 2014 by Storey Publishing. I've written two other successful books for them-- The Quilting Answer Book and The Sewing Answer Book. I learned to sew from my grandmothers, great grandmother, and my Mom when I was barely in grade school and I've been sewing ever since. I added quilting to my repertoire in the 1980s and worked for a major quilt book publisher as Managing Editor and then Editor-in-Chief for 5 years. Now I have my own business, designing quilts and tote bags and anything else that strikes my fancy.Go to www.joyofsewingandquilting.blogspot.com to see my projects and whatever else I'm up to. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find something you'd like to make in my Craftsy store!
