Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Sew with a consistent seam

Pattern Description:

This is an easy tote bag to make. It is fully lined and has one optional large pocket. The tote is large, so it can fit a lot of things! It is perfect for running errands, taking on an overnight trip, taking to the beach, etc! Makes a great gift or donation for a fundraiser. This is also a nice bag to use up some scraps.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 15" tall x 18 1/2" wide x 6 1/2 deep


  • (6) 1/8 yard cuts assorted fabrics, or scraps
  • 3/4 yard for top, bottom & straps of outer bag
  • 7/8 yard of fabric for lining and pocket
  • 1/8 yard for accent strip for pocket, or scraps from above materail
  • 1 1/8 yard medium weight fusible interfacing (I use pellon #809)
  • 26" x 44" piece of low loft cotton or cotton mix batting

You Will Also Need:

  • Quilting mat, quilting ruler and rotary cutter
