Our original Jet-Setter was donated to the education program for the Vermont Quilt Festival. The Jet-Setter was selected as Viewers choice 2009 for the challenge.

The Jet-Setter pattern uses quilting and flat construction sewing techniques to produce a practical carryall.

Classroom tested
Use your machines decorative stitches
Recycle friendly, just dip into Grandmas button jar and jewelry box to embellish your Jet-setter.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished size:15" x 5" x 16"

Materials:

  • Required fabrics are based on a 42" wide fabric.
  • 1 Fat 1/4 or 1/4 yard-->2 Ties and borders
  • 1 Fat 1/4 or 1/4 yard-->2 Shirts
  • 3 Fat 1/4 or 1 yard-->Suit
  • 1 1/2 yards-->Fusible Fleece
  • 1 1/2 yards--> Lining and suspenders

You Will Also Need:

  • 3 magnetic purse snaps
  • 4 buttons to embellish the suspenders
  • 4 to 6 large buttons for exterior bag bottom
  • Decorative brooches and embellishments
  • Safety pins
  • 2 x 12" of 1/4" refrigerator tubing (optional)
  • Rigid board to reinforce the bag bottom (5" x 15") (optional)
