Weave a Spiral (Round) Rug or Wall Hanging with Weaving Sticks - instruction booklet
CREATE THIS GORGEOUS HAND-WOVEN RUG OR WALL HANGING USING WEAVING STICKS AND YARN, CORD, OR FABRIC STRIPS
You can use all sorts of yarn, cord, or fabric strips, so it's a great stash busting project.
You can use this pattern to create a rug, wall hanging, chair pad, or pet mat. The same technique can be modified to create an oval, rather than round, shape. You can make any size, from a door mat to a room size rug.
Try different types of materials for different effects. Sparkly and eyelash yarn will make a whimsical creation. Fabric strips can create a homey effect, much like a braid rug. Chunky wool yarn or wool strips make a wonderful hearth rug. Even jute and garden twine could be used for making door mats.
