Pattern Description:

This earring is made of 2 separate parts: a main motif, and a narrow "pendulum" for extra movement, hence the title, "Kinetic".

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • About 1 and 3/4 inches long, and 1 inch wide


  • Lizbeth thread size 20, about 12 yards
  • 2 tatting shuttles
  • Size 11 Delicas beads: 62
  • 4mm beads: 2
  • Wide eye beading needle
  • Size 14/.75mm steel crochet hook
  • Jump rings, earring findings, jewelry pliers

Excellent Lovely!  April 24, 2013

Marilee patterns are all beautiful and this one is not the exception. The instructions are very clear with photos, written instructions and diagrams. It's a little advance for beginners because uses split rings, looped rings, loch stitch chains and beading. But if you already master at least the split rings and beadings you can make this one and follow the instructions to learn the looped ring and the lock stitch chain.
