Just so everybody knows........we are in the process of changing our name from "Wild Mushroom Leather" to "Fun with Leather". So the latest patterns will have the "Fun with Leather" name. Still the same great patterns, we're just changing our name!
What is so fascinating about leather? Is it the smell? Is it the texture? Why do people want to make things out of leather? Is it because those things are useful? Pretty? Durable? Something no-one else makes? There are a lot of good reasons for taking up the art of leathercraft!
There are so many things you can make out of leather, things that you wouldn't think that you could. Sure, people make wallets, handbags and belts all the time! But have you ever made a mug? A weaver style bag? No? Well, why not? Because there’s not that many leather patterns out there for that sort of thing. They’re just not that readily available.
So since there’s not that many patterns available for things that aren’t belts or wallets or handbags...we decided to make our own patterns and share them with everyone!
You'll be pleased by the ease and simplicity of our patterns. In fact, they're so darn easy, that a beginner can make something so incredible, so awesome, that you’ll think they’ve being doing leathercraft for years! And even a pro will enjoy the end results!
All of our leather patterns are drawn using an old fashioned drafting machine. We DO NOT use a fancy computer CAD program to draw any of our patterns. So all of our patterns are created the old fashioned way, by hand, right in keeping with the tools used to create them!
But we do use a computer to combine them in a downloadable file, complete with printing instructions to make your leather pattern pieces print out just right on a standard printer!
Every leather pattern that we create has been tested thoroughly. We make sure all patterns are easily assembled using our instructions. And once the examples have been made, we take pictures and include them in every pattern we make! If there is something that is difficult to explain with words, we add a pictorial instruction guide to lend you a helping hand and keep you on the right track.
Our approach to leather is easy to remember. Keep it simple, keep it short and above all, HAVE FUN! If you’re not having fun, then you're not doing it right!
Be ultra cool with this jellyroll style belt bag! With three ways to wear it, you'll have a look for every outfit!
Wearing a belt? Just slide the belt loops on the back onto your belt and you're good to go for a casual look! No belt? Make the adjustable straps (instructions included) and wear it on your hip or in a cross body style! Like the belt bag look, but don't want to wear it up so high? Make two of the short straps (instructions also included), and hang it from your belt. Also looks great if you're into ren-faire re-enactments.
This jellyroll style belt bag has one roomy compartment. The closure is really something a little bit different.....it's completely made from leather!
The completed bag measures 5 7/8" tall X 3" deep X 5 3/8" wide. The belt loops will accommodate up to a 1 1/2" belt.
