Intermediate
I love making Christmas ornament covers, and was intrigued with the idea of creating one that used the Japanese-style chain maille techniques. And in playing around, trying this and that, I came up with a gorgeous design.
The construction technique is simple; I gave it an intermediate rating because it uses a lot of jump rings, many of them quite small. It's a heavy, substantial ornament cover, one that you will treasure for years upon years to come!
If you want instant gratification, this is not the design for you (I have another pattern for that). This project will likely take you a day to make, and takes a lot of jump rings -- approximately 4 ounces when all is said and done. Again, it's not difficult -- just intricate!
You will love it because no one else you know will have one of these ornament covers!

I saw some beautiful jewelry and the owner told me she had made it herself. From that point on, I have explored just about every beaded jewelry technique I can -- bead weaving stitches, loom weaving, stringing, bead crochet, wirework...you get the idea, LOL!
