I had been asking for ideas of what to make with my beads and a friend had requested I make her a palm tree doily. This is what I created. the picture is of the finished original. I have since readjusted the pattern to make a better finished product. For those palm tree fanatics, this is the beading pattern for you. I hope you enjoy it as much as my friend enjoys hers.
As a side note, if you've never done a right angle bead design before, you may want to download my free "Right Angle Bead Instructions" to better understand how to work this pattern. Thank you.

My mother had taught me how to make small basic beaded doilies when I was young. I have since elaborated from basic patterns and designs into larger and more detailed patterns. In 2012 I took several of my finished projects to the local county fair for competition and all of them won blue ribbons. I have also joined the "Six Rivers Gallery" art guild in Hoquiam Washington. They have shown me that my beading is not just a craft, it is also an art.
Over the last year, I have had my creations displayed in local stores and shown in multiple art shows. More and more I am expanding my bead art into the public. I am now working on teaching classes at the local bead and craft store and plan on making a book, or 2, to feature some of my wonderful designs. I would greatly appreciate any feedback you could give for me to better assist others in learning and reproducing what I do. And hopefully, they will start creating their own designs in turn.
Thank you for checking out my patterns and hope you enjoy beading them as much as I do.
