I retired from the US Navy after 22 years, I started working as a framer, framing houses, then I learned to do finish carpentry in the home, which lead me to the love of detail wood work.

Pattern Description:

One day I was building a kit for a small Victorian doll house when my 3 year old neice walked up and asked me to make that same house for her Barbie.

I love this little girl, I see her almost every day. So my wife and I set out to draft and measure and proportion the right size house for Lexi girls little Barbie.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 4 ft 5 in Tall
  • 3 ft 9 in Wide
  • 27 in Deep
  • May be to deep to fit down some hallways


  • 3 sheets of 1/2" plywood
  • 4 small hinges
  • 38" of 5" railing
  • 12" of 3" railing
  • optional: dowels to trim windows
  • optional: 1/8" chipboard to do siding and shingles
  • optional: 4 heavy duty casters
  • 19 total feet of 2" x 2"

You Will Also Need:

  • 25 foot Tape Measure
  • Table Saw/Miter Saw
  • Long Metal ruler
  • 1" and 1 1/2" Brads
  • Hammer/ Nail gun
  • Counter sink
  • Jig Saw
  • Drill - 1/2" bit
