Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knitting in the round
  • the use of double point needles

Pattern Description:

A knit and felt pattern.

Knit a few chicks to tuck inside your Spring time baskets. They are quick and easy to felt up, so plan on hatching a dozen or so.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • about 3-inches round after felting


  • skein of sport weight 100% wool yarn
  • double point needles, size 8

You Will Also Need:

  • polyester fiberfill
  • 24-gauge wire, for legs
  • seed beads, for legs
