I named this turtle Topsy Turvy because you can change which side is the top and which is the bottom.
Topsy Turvy is from my squidgy animals collection, which I designed for a friend who was learning to knit, and wanted an easy toy pattern.
The pattern only requires you to know how to knit, purl, cast on, cast off, increase using KFB (knit front and back), and decrease using K2TOG (knit two stitches together). You also need to change colours (knit stripes).
The turtle pattern includes row by row instructions so you don't forget your place. You will need to sew the finished turtle together, and step by step construction photos are included in the pattern.
All pieces are knitted flat on 3mm straight needles, uses approximately 100g double knit yarn and 100g stuffing. You will also need buttons and some felt fabric for decoration.
