I am not sure I can get the pattern on this computer...I have Windows XP which is outdated now and the Adobe is not working....I wonder if I can transfer the pattern to my iPad...will I have to go through the process again? Thank-you

So excited when I discovered this pattern, thank you so much. Can't wait to get started, one for me, then one for my grandson, who just loves my cat Diddle. Once again, thank you, everyone needs a cat in their lives.

So cute! And the instructions look pretty straight-forward. I'm looking forward to trying this out and making a snuggle-buddy for my dog. ;) Thanks for making this pattern. :D

The download work for me, I wish it had the face drawing with it. I came back to the pattern and saved the photo of the two cats as a model.

What is the interval of color change. Looks like every three rows. Is this correct? How many ounces is 170 yards?

How do we get the stripes? Nothing is said about the changing colors, except the chest area.

I have made this lovely creature twice, and each one is so different, with a different personality. I made one with smaller needles and ply and it worked as well as the one I made with the recommended needles and ply, just a little bit smaller. It was fun creating the cats' faces!

I have a question about the chest part of the cat. Should the center of the chest line up with where we increased the body? And if so, I feel like I'm doing something wrong because they don't line up. Thanks for any helpful advise.

I wish you had closeups of faces that you have used...I just saved the photos you had on your page so that should make life a little easier for me.....just starting on the tail..love the pattern...we raise funds for animal rescues with craft shows and this should do the trick....hope people will fall in love and pay a decent price for it! It certainly does not cost much to make it...thanks so much

Hi Sarah. I have a question about your Parlor Cat pattern. I've done the face part, with the wrapping done over 30 stitches. And I've picked up the 22 remaining CO stitches, for a return to the total of 52. So the head is next. Row 1 is all K. Then row 2: can you please tell me how those stitches are arranged over the 52? I expected the first 30 to coincide with the 30 from the lower face, but I've got "K2tog, K21, SSK, K1, K2tog" That's 28 stitches, right? If I knit the next 2 stitches, I get a very lop-sided face. And I was wondering if there was something missing from the pattern there. I've knitted it very nicely up to this point and now I'm stopped dead. I hope you can help me. Thank you. Love this cat! No problem downloading. But I do have a question. What yarn did you use? I love the stripes but I hope you did not use two different yarns and then have all those ends to weave in. Or did you just carry it along? Or did I miss a part of the directions? Thank you

When starting the pattern the instructions are a little confusing. Do the numbers refer to row numbers or needle numbers and if the latter is it possible to transcribe the pattern for knitting on circulars?

You have to add the pattern to your pattern page by going thru the "purchase" process - it's a free pattern, but that's the way you get the download link. :) I was able to download with no trouble at all.

Hi lovely pattern but I'm not sure what you mean by worsted wool? I am in the UK - could you give me the equivalent wool size i.e. double knitting(8 ply). Also are sized 4 needles a USA size?

Sara E Kellner on craftsy.com
Sara E Kellner  June 1, 2014
Flag as inappropriate

Hi there! Worsted weight yarn is heavier than DK weight. Maybe use two strands of DK weight held together? I think that would work, because I generally use a heavier worsted weight.

Yes, the needles are US size 4. But really, you can use whatever size you prefer, as long as it creates a tighter-than-average fabric. this is so that the stuffing will not show through.

Enjoy! :-)

I have never knitted. I know someone who is a great knitter though. I live in north Everett, Washington. There is a yarn store in town. I think I'll go there when school is out for the summer and see if they have classes. :)

Can you do this project solely on a circular needle, or does it have to be on dpn?

Sara E Kellner on craftsy.com
Sara E Kellner  May 31, 2014
Flag as inappropriate

I believe so, but to be honest, I RARELY use circular needles so I'm not positive. It may be that the stitch count gets too low for a circular, but I suppose you could go back to dpns at that point.

Good luck! I hope you'll be able to make it one way or the other!
Sara
