Shaun is an adorable, soft sheep toy. This little guy is quick and easy to knit, shaped by short rows and requires hardly any yarn. A perfect stash buster project! Standing seven inches tall and eight inches long, he is knit in pieces and then hand sewn together. By placing heavy quarters in the bottoms of the feet, Shaun also stands up by himself--perfect for a well-played-with children's toy.
My daughter requested her sheep to be a black and white one, however you could very easily make this into any variety or color of sheep. There are so many to choose from!
Pattern includes helpful photos and instructions including notes on all the techniques described.
5.5 stitches/ 7 rows = 1 inch on stockinette stitch

I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and I am constantly inspired by the beautiful landscape around me. I find translating the beauty of nature into a one-of-a-kind knitted garment to be a fascinating puzzle. Designing is a blast and I very much enjoy seeing a project go from an initial design sketch to a finished product and pattern. Even better is seeing another knitter confidently and easily knit up one of my pattern designs.
Having two little ones myself, I understand how picky children can be about clothing, especially knitted ones. I design all my patterns with the comfort and ease of movement that energetic children need, in mind. Not to mention, I know how much moms need easy-to-read instructions while they are busy multi-tasking while knitting! :-)
