Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knitting in the round
  • Invisible cast-on
  • Toe-up sock knitting.
  • Turning a heel
  • Increasing - kfb, m1.
  • Decreasing - ssk, k2tog.
  • Inserting a tuck/pleat.
  • Yarnover buttonholes.
  • Intarsia or Duplicate stitch.
  • I-cord.
  • Grafting/Kitchener stitch
  • Pompom

Pattern Description:

A Santa Claus all-in-one hooded suit originally designed for my niece's 19" reborn baby doll, Reilly. It could be worn by a baby of similar size, as a festive onesie, or a snowsuit over other clothes.

Knitting this outfit uses quite a large number of skills in a relatively small project. With detailed instructions provided, it's a real opportunity to showcase - or extend - your talents !


24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 19in Reborn Doll


  • 4mm dpns or circular needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Waste yarn or stitch holders
  • 7 5mm buttons or studs
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in (optional).

150 meters of DK weight
