Pattern Description:

Awhile back I got interested in learning how to make knitted softies and as my first project I finished a 16" (40.6) monkey doll. He turned out really adorable but something was missing, he needed bananas. And here they are, my first knitted pattern is born.

These bananas are a great size for all types of 16"-18" dolls. They also make cute decorations, whether in a bowl or a banana bunch hanging on the wall.

This pattern is for an advanced beginner. It is worked in the round with either (of your choice) 4.5 mm DPNs or one set of circulars using the magic loop method.

-- Final results may vary for each individual.
-- Pattern is written in English only.
-- This is a JBcrochetwizard original design.

Not important but tight enough to help prevent stuffing from showing.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Both bananas approx. size: 3.5" L x 1" W (8.9 x 2.6 cm)

  • one set of DPNs size 4.5 mm (or) one set of circulars
  • (optional) crochet hook 4.5 mm (easier to pick up loops)
  • Yarn size: Medium (4) Worsted weight

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle
  • Stuffing

Yellow and Off White
