Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit, Purl, Increase, Decrease, Cast-on, Bind-off

Pattern Description:

Wanting to make a gift for a little boy's turtle-themed room was the inspiration for the design of adorable, all-boy, Poke Turtle, dressed in the colors of the room. This soon blossomed to another, more feminine, frilly, darling turtle, Shelly. Sitting approx. 10 1/4" without their sweet removable hats, both are knit in the round, using #4-worsted wt. yarn. They have movable arms and legs and are ready to "get up and go" for some fun! With their sweet smiles, they're hard to resist!

Gauge:

Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tightly enough to ensure that the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
