Pattern Description:

A lot of people have asked me to design a cat. Easier said than done, its taken me a few weeks to design Kittie Kat and he's not a cat, he's a kitten. I tried for a cat but Kittie Kat wanted to be, so here he is.

He's a shy little kittie, promises he's house trained and is just looking for a loving home. Do you know someone who will offer him somewhere warm and cosy to spend the winter?

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

8 inches/20cm from feet to tip of ears

Materials:

50grams/100 yards double knit/lightweight worsted faux fur.
Oddment double knit/lightweight worsted plain yarn for contrast
Oddment double knit/lightweight worsted faux fur to match plain contrast
3.50mm/4 US straight knitting needles
10-12mm safety eyes

You Will Also Need:

Wool sewing needle
Embroidery thread
Toy stuffing/filler
Fishing line or invisible thread for whiskers (optional, perhaps not a good idea if Kittie is for a small child)

Suggested yarn:

100 yards of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Faux fur

Kitty Cat Pattern is Excellent October 3, 2012

Overall the pattern is easy to follow, it takes a little practice to get the cat sitting correctly. I've enjoyed doing these and will be knitting more. I'd highly recommend this designers patterns. I want to do some teddies next.
