I love animals and decided to try and knit as many different ones as possible, this started as a koala pattern (would you ever have guessed?) and this is one of the variations! Kids LOVE these toys, my 3 year old niece is always running off with one of my stuffed toys, and at craft fairs i can't keep any in stock! Can be made without wire or the scarf and with fabric paint face to avoid choking hazard for small children, though the wire is good for older children who can then make the neck stay in what ever position they want! Be creative with color and size, make this pattern your own!
Cast on 10 and do 10 rows in stockinette stitch (purl a row then knit a row), make sure it is tight enough that stuffing won't go through.
I'm a college student who started knitting as a child but only just started doing it to make a bit of extra money, i specialize in knitted animals! I have a small online shop called Rattus Knits after my love for rats who are never to far away when i'm knitting, and who on occasion run off with bits of my projects! If you ever have any questions about a pattern ask away!
