"Charter", a textured ribbed stitch hooded jacket pattern for dolls
by Debonair Designs
Charter; inspired by today's fashion trends and the desire to create functional clothing for my 18in Gotz Dolls and the popular American Girl Dolls of today prompted this versatile hooded jacket, that offers a textured, ribbed pattern stitched complete with paneled hood along with a sleeveless option
Worked flat ~ my preferred knitting technique using my bamboo straights
Designed to fit: American Girl Dolls & 18" Gotz Dolls like my models,
Elisabeth & Jessica that share the same body type
Construction: Worked from the bottom up in one piece to armholes,
including button bands, then each section is worked individually
The textured ribbed stitch pattern throughout has been written out with line-by-line instructions given, including buttonhole placement. A paneled hood worked in three sections; back with two side panels, which is then seamed. Set in long sleeves with the option of omitting
the sleeves creating an additional trendy sleeveless version (as pictured in teal on my Gotz model Jessica)
Gauge: Using 3.75mm needles:
6 sts and 7 rows in 1in over stockinette stitch
250 yards of Worsted weight
