Pattern Description:

Cascadia, a cable stitched sweater and tam knitting pattern for American Girl Dolls/18" Gotz Dolls by Debonair Designs
I love all things cable, and so naturally I wanted an easy to work cable sweater for my dolls.
The cable pattern follows a popular stitch called Staghorn cable that is featured on the front of the sweater and worked on each sleeve for a complete look.
The Tam was taken from my previously published beret, for this publication I reworked the Tam, working extra rows for a perfect fit

Designer's Note:
Worked flat: back and forth in rows ~ my preferred knitting technique

Designed to fit:
American Girl Dolls & 18" Gotz Dolls like my model, Jessica, that shares the same body type

Construction: Sleeves are worked first, placed on hold; the main body is worked from the bottom up in one piece to armholes, including button bands, then joined to the sleeves to work the ribbed stitch boat neckline

Experience Level:
Advance beginner-Intermediate

Pattern Features:
The cable stitch pattern featured has been written out with line-by-line instructions given. A ribbed stitch boat neckline created from working the main body piece along with the sleeves and complete back button closure
