Pattern Description:

'Cascadia', a unisex sweater set that features a popular stitch pattern called 'Staghorn Cable' along with classic raglan shaping along with a coordinating Tam. This revised edition includes new photos along with additional raglan shaping at the neckline that is more complimentary, formatted with line-by-line written instructions throughout. ~ Debonair Designs

Designer's Note:
Worked flat: back and forth in rows ~ my preferred knitting technique
Designed to fit:
American Girl/Boy Dolls & 18" Gotz Dolls like my model, Jessica, that shares the same body type

Construction: Worked flat: back and forth in rows. Sleeves are worked first, placed on hold; the main body is worked from the bottom up in one piece to armholes,
including button bands, then joined to the sleeves to work the ribbed stitch boat neckline. Tam worked in one piece with crown shaping, then seamed.

Experience Level:
Advance beginner-Intermediate
Project uses basic cables, mid level shaping and finishing

Pattern Features:
The cable stitch pattern featured has been written out with line-by-line instructions
given. A ribbed stitch boat neckline created
from working the main body piece along with
the sleeves and complete back button closure.

Materials: 220 - 250 yards (approx.) of medium worsted #4 yarn

Knitting Needles: Pair each of 3.25mm (US 3-UK/Canada 10) and 3.75mm (US 5-UK/Canada 9)


Using 3.75mm needles:
6 sts and 7 rows in 1in over stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Fits 18in American Girl Dolls


  • 220 - 250 Medium Worsted #4
