Pattern Description:

One of my pattern customers suggested I do design the Bubble dress to fit the 5 inch chubby Berenguer baby doll!
It's a quick and fairly easy project, knit from the top down, can be embellished with ribbon roses, pearls, lace etc.


Longer dress version was knit using Peter Pan/Wendy " New Soft Blend" double knit , print color 778 , a slightly thicker yarn it fit the doll as well

Gauge:

7 sts & 8-9 rows= 1"

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • fits 5 inch Itty Bitty Berenguer Baby Doll

Materials:

  • 1/2 oz Fingering Yarn or light DK yarn such as Peter Pan/Wendy, Bernat Baby,Size US 1 ( 2.25mm) 24" circular needle is preferred for ease in knitting large number of stitches, knit back & forth just as with straight knitting needles, double point needles can be used for panties & shoes

You Will Also Need:

  • 1 - 1/4" (7mm) shank button,optional floral trims & 15" of 1/8" wide ribbon,Yarn needle for sewing seams, Sewing thread and needle for attaching button and optional trims

Suggested yarn:

50 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Bernat Baby, Mary Maxim Twinkle or see note above
