Bria a two in one pattern for both a sweater version and a cardigan version
Both featuring a flattering shawl collar neckline along with moss stitch and an easy to do cable stitch using no cable, also called crossed stitch
The pattern begins with the sweater, followed by the cardigan with line-by-line written instructions give, the sleeves for both versions are worked the same.
The Newsboy Cap is NOT included in the pattern
Worked flat: back and forth in rows ~ my preferred knitting technique
Designed to fit:
American Girl Dolls & 18" Gotz Dolls like my models, Julia and Katie, that share the same body type
Construction: Worked from the bottom up in one piece to armholes, then each section is worked individually.
The cable stitch pattern featured has been written out with line-by-line instructions given. A shawl collar flatters the neckline created from picked up stitches on the sweater version. Complete back button closure added to the sweater for easy dressing
Materials: 220 - 250 yards (approx.) of medium worsted #4 yarn
Knitting Needles: Pair each of 3.25mm (US 3-UK/Canada 10) and 3.75mm (US 5-UK/Canada 9)
Using 3.75mm needles:
6 sts and 7 rows in 1in over moss stitch
250 yards of Worsted weight
