Pattern Description:

I was inspired to design and create my very own Bantha-like soft knitted toy as I loved these in the Star Wars movie. He comes with a knitted saddle pattern and instructions on how to make a bed roll and food bags from felt.

Banthas are large hairy elephant-like mammals with long furry tails. They have large curved horns and full lips. They can be found in herds of up to 25 Banthas and are quite social animals. A common male grows 2-3 metres tall and weighs 4,000 kilos!

They are native to Tatooine but can be found on several planets in the galaxy. Banthas are an important part of Tuskan culture as they are used to carry large loads as well as being ridden by the Tuskan Raiders.

Finished Size: Approx 190 mm long and 110 mm tall

Hi, my names Tara and I like to make things. I've always made things and it doesn't look like i'm going to stop anytime soon either. I like things that are cute or geeky or quirky. They have to be quick to make as I get bored easily. So I have a nice collection of knitted friends, felt monsters and sock pets!

Some of my favourite things...
- Chocolate buttons
- felt
- socks
- monkeys
