Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should know how to knit in the round and be familiar with increases/decreases.
  • Phototutorials on the following techniques are included: i-cords, grafting (kitchener stitch and intarsia in the round.
  • You don't need every advance technique (shown above) for all the hand puppets.

Pattern Description:

Prepare for the winter and let these three arctic fellows jump off your knitting needles. The set includes the icebear, walrus and penguin handpuppets designed to fit children's hands. Information about size alterations to make them fit adults hands properly are included.

The patterns are organized in increasing difficulty. Each pattern features a tutorial to a new technique. The icebear includes the i-cord, the walrus includes i-cord shaping and grafting and the penguin introduces intarsia knitted in the round. If you are new to these techniques I suggest working the handpuppets in the order provided in this ebook.
