The Wight Wedding Shawlette has been designed as a soft shoulder warmer for brides or bridesmaids who would like something simple but pretty without lots of lace, made from premium angora, it would be lovely in Autumn or Winter.
The beautiful corsage is entirely knitted so is ideal for those who want flowers but can't crochet and is removable thus making the shawl extremely versatile as can be seen in the attached images.
Although It is pictured in a soft natural white, it would be just as gorgeous in many other colours....just imagine it in soft lilac, bright white or deep red to match the bridesmaids dresses...
This lovely shawl is knitted from side to side, turning after each row, and starting from one short edge. The soft crescent shape is formed by simple increases and decreases and without short rows. Stitches are picked up across the top edge and finished with a picot cast off. Stitches are then picked up across the bottom edge, 1 row is worked and then the lacy edge is applied. This means that there are very few rows where you will be working the entire length of the shawl.
Suitable for confident beginners and intermediate knitters.
Photo Tutorials are included for making the corsage and for adding beads to your knitting.
Gauge is not critical on this garment.
1200 yards of Fingering weight
