(6) Name: 'Knitting : 'Pals'

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, read a chart, Intarsia, duplicate stitch

Pattern Description:

If your pets are like mine, they love their blankies. This one is sure to make them "purr" or "bark" with delight.

This afghan pattern is for either your dog or cat and is from our series called, "Doghans and Catghans - tail wagging afghans. This first design is "Pals."


20 sts and 26 rows = 4" in St st

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished size is approximately 27" by 32"


  • (220 yd skeins of worsted weight yarn) 1 skein each of colors, green, black, red, brown, yellow/gold and white, 5 skeins blue

You Will Also Need:

  • U.S. Size 7 (4.5 mm) 24" circular needle

Suggested yarn:

2420 yards of Worsted weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Cascade 220
