This is perfect for leftover bits of yarn from other projects- I used some hand dyed yarn and a teeny tiny ball of leftover Silky Wool to make these. The mouse is knit flat, then seamed and stuffed. You can knit the mouse in any yarn you like- just make sure your stitches are tight so the stuffing doesn't fall out. (Tip: if the yarn you want to use seems to thin and like the stuffing might poke through, hold it double- just remember you will need double the yarn- about 40 yards.)There are two versions included- rounded nose or pointed, plus instructions for making a braided, icord, or crochet tail.
5 stitches and 8 rows per inch in garter stitch [1 inch = 2.54 cm]
20 yards of DK weight
