Pattern Description:

This is a lovely fitting dog sweater. One of my dogs' favorites! It is warm and soft and has unique shoulder shaping for a perfect fit at the chest and front legs.
The diamond-like cable panel flows out of the neck ribbing, down the back, and into the bottom ribbing for stylish effect.
Tabby is modeling the sweater in Blue and Tyler in Red. They are both in a size small which has a finished chest measurement of 20.5 inches. Their chest measurements are 17.5 and 16.5 respectively.

XS and S will take one skein of Plymouth Encore Tweed Worsted and 2 skeins for the M and L sizes.

Pattern proceeds raised go to non-profits that help animals!!!


19 sts and 26 rows in Stocking Stitch over 4 inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • finished measurements for chest size are 14.5 inches for XS to 29 inches for large.


  • Worsted weight yarn 200-400 yards depending on size

You Will Also Need:

  • Size US 7 circular needle and DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge
  • yarn needle for finishing

Suggested yarn:

400 yards of Worsted weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Plymouth Yarn Encore Worsted Tweed
