Pattern Description:

With winter on my mind and fun layering elements as inspiration, the final garment from the "Squishy" series came to be.

The vest begins with the ribbed bottom edge, followed by the body which is knit back and forth in a Diamond Cable Motif and Stockinette Stitch. Short rows create the fold-over collar. The circumference of the vest is somewhat adjustable by placing the toggles/buttons elsewhere along the width of the edging at the front.

Vest can alternately be closed with a simple shawl pin or snaps.

My grandmothers were the reason I love hand-work and crafts so much. As soon as I was able to manage a needle and thread, they gave me craft-related responsibilities abound. My earliest crafting photo is me at 5 years old sitting atop a table making a foam cake base in deep concentration, craft glue in one hand and crepe paper in the other.

Currently, I'm an illustrator and graphic designer ...
