Implementing the Fibonacci sequence both horizontally with knit and purl stitches and vertically with color changes, the Fall in Flames cowl is the perfect cowl for transitioning into fall. Knit in Estelle's organic cotton and accented with glass beads and a genuine corozo button, this cowl is sure to keep you warm throughout the fall and into the winter.
3 Skeins of Estelle's Cloud Cotton in 108 (orange), 112 (red), and 119 (brown) are required. However, this pattern uses less than the 3 skeins. The purchase of yarn for either "Fall Twist" pattern or "Fall in Flames" pattern will be enough for both patterns.

While hospitalized for a long while, I sought an enjoyable distraction from the daily drudgery of medical tests. Having learned some basic knitting skills as a young girl from my talented Baba and very creative great grandmother, I decided to again try my hand at this craft. Knitting quickly became a passion as a single sweater accelerated into creating my own designs for both myself and others to enjoy.
The diagnosis of neurotoxicity, organ damage, and chemical sensitivity mandates an isolated lifestyle free from the impact of modern day chemicals. Eco Chic Knits was conceived with this in mind. As I began to formulate new designs, two key philosophies were foremost in my thinking:
1. Knits that fit curves
2. Unique and intricate patterns
Hence, Eco Chic Knits' debut publication of the "Relaxed Petal Ruffle Scarf." An immediate positive response indicated a niche market.
Concurrently, I am privileged to pursue a Masters of Arts in Philosophy through distance education and am the author of a children's book series, "Cheeky's Tales." The series is based on my Great Dane, Cheeky. In her first adventure, "Cheeky's Security Blanket," Cheeky learns about self-identity and materialism through several incidents involving her collar.
I hope you derive as much enjoyment in working up my patterns as I have had in creating them! Today is a good day to Knit :-)
