I am a life long knitter, starting when about 10 years old. I've left the art at times, but returned in earnest about 13 years ago - with the birth of my first and only grandchild. I have a small family, one daughter and one granddaughter - who are "sweatered-out" as I say and aren't really interested in what I can create for them. Nor are they interested in learning how to knit.
I've recently fallen in love with designing and am thrilled to offer my patterns for others to use. Enjoy the patterns and feel free to post comments! I love reading them
Black Forest is a unique community just north of Colorado Springs. It is a picturesque area with beautiful, tall fir trees. Numerous houses and businesses are tucked in the beautiful setting. On June 11, 2013 a wildfire broke out and raged out of control for a few days. It destroyed over 500 homes, several businesses; acres of the tall fir trees and sadly, two people lost their lives.
Thanks to the efforts of brave firefighters over 2,000 structures were saved and along with them Table Rock Llamas Fiber Arts Studio. The yarn used for the model scarf was purchased at Table Rock Llamas after it reopened. All the proceeds from the sale of this pattern will go to the Black Forest Fire Department.
