Snuggling is never quite the same as in those first few months. This cocoon and hat set is perfectly cozy and soft for brand new babies. The cocoonwill fit for as long as your little one is willing to stay inside it. It's worked top-down, first flat to form placket edge, then in the round to finish. The stitch pattern is easy to memorize and adds interest to the knit. Insructions are included for the matching hat which is sized for children of all ages; its worked in the round, bottom up, and ears are worked separately in the round as well. Also be sure to check out the coordinating hooded cardigan for children up to size 10 available here as a Craftsy Workshop!

In her non-knitting life, Kate has just finished up a PhD in Political Science from the University of Florida.
