This is a companion pattern, to go with my conker. I think horse chestnut leaves are beautiful, and I really enjoyed the challenge of designing the different sized leaflets.
I have knitted my samples in Rowan Tweed, and a sock wool called Strompegarn, both 4ply. But looking at horse chestnut leaves in my local park, I have found a huge variety of colours and sizes. The pattern would also work in DK if you wanted a larger leaf.
If you want to find out a bit more about horse chestnut leaves and conkers have a look at my blog.
I have always liked making things, and although I have been knitting a lot recently, I also like sewing and other crafts.
I live on the outskirts of London, and work part-time at a local school, and have partly got back into making things because my children are always doing something creative. At school I love the days when we get really messy.
