Pattern Description:

A spectacularly beautiful and warm double-layer blanket. Knit a smaller Zinnia and create a lovely chair pad or coaster!

The Zinnia is something lovely to knit on, whenever you need it. May be worked full size for blanket or part way only for a chair pad or place mat. If you would like to add extra texture to the outlines of the petals, consider the quilting/threading options for making colour changes.
My Zinnia Blanket was knit using Kauni Effektgarn 100% fingering-weight wool.

Gauge:

Blanket Kauni: Approximate gauge: 5 st pairs x 7 rows per inch, on 3.25 - 3.75 mm / US # 3 - 5 needles.
Chair-pad BFL/Ayatori Sport Weight:
Approximate gauge 4 st pairs x 6 rows per inch, on needle size 4.5 mm / US #7.
Chair-pad FREIA Sport Weight: Approximate gauge 4 st pairs x 6 rows per inch, on needle size 5 mm / US #8.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • multisize: from coaster to bedspread!

Materials:

  • 3.25-3.75mm dpns
  • 3.25-3.75mm 50cm circular needles

You Will Also Need:

  • stitch markers

Suggested yarn:

1500 yards of Fingering weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Kauni Effektgarn for the blanket, any felted worsted weight yarn for the chair pad
