There are numerous ways you can personalize your little house to make a truly one-of-a-kind gift to celebrate a new baby, an adoption, a baby's first Christmas, a wedding, a first home, a new home, Christmas, Valentine's Day and even...the Olympics!

When I was designing this pattern and showing the samples to my friends and family....every person smiled. I hope you enjoy creating a little house to show your love for "home" and the special people in your life. (And, you probably won't make just one because they are so fun to knit!)

The pattern includes lots of photos and detailed instructions to make all versions of The Little House shown in the last photo of this listing.

Gauge:

5 sts & 7 rows = 1 inch
in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • finished size approximately: 2.5" tall x 2.5" wide x 2.5" deep

Materials:

  • 25 yards worsted weight yarn for house color
  • 15 yards worsted weight yarn for roof color
  • size 5 knitting needles
  • felt in desired colors
  • DMC embroidery floss
  • tapestry needle & embroidery needle
  • stitch markers (safety pin style) or scrap pieces of yarn
  • poly-fil for stuffing
  • tracing paper for embroidery

You Will Also Need:

  • basic sewing supplies such as scissors

Suggested yarn:

40 yards of Worsted weight
