Pattern Description:

Knit these up for hot pads, and table decorations. These are pretty in white for a wedding! Add satin ribbon to complete. You can sew 2 together to make a pillow too! The largest one is about 12? by 10?. Make a nice accent for Valentine?s day dinner table, or a romantic Anniversary dinner! Uses worsted weight yarns, knitting needles, US # 9, and # 10.5.

Gauge:

On Large Heart, With #101/2 Needles And 2 Strands Of Yarn
7 Stitches = 2 Inches
7 Rows = 1 Inch
On Small Heart, With #9 Needles And 1 Strand Of Yarn
5 Stitches = 1 Inch
9 Rows = 1 Inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Large Heart Approximately 12 Inches Wide by 10 Inches Long Small Heart Approximately 6 Inches Wide by 5 Inches Long

Materials:

  • Worsted Weight Yarn 31/2 Ounces Red or Other Main Color 11/2 Ounces White or Other Border Color (This amount of yarn will make one large heart and three small hearts, depending on the brand of yarn used. You may even get more.) Knitting Needles - 1 Pair #101/2, - 1 Pair #9 (#9 is also used for border, a circular needle will be easier to use.) Stitch Holder Yarn Sewing Needle
