Pattern Description:

For a dear friend's wedding, I designed this afghan using hidden heart motifs and interlocking cables to celebrate them tying the knot. When asked for an appropriate pattern name, the groom suggested 'Spellweave' feeling he had cast a spell over his bride.


Full color pictures, charts and written instructions will guide you through each step.

Different sizes can be achieved using different needle sizes, and differing weights of yarn which may increase or decrease your yardage requirements.


18 sts x 16 rows = 4 x 4 inches

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 74 x 112 inches


  • US 7 (4.5mm) needles
  • 13 skeins of Knit Picks Brave Worsted yarn
