Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Stockinette stitch (knit and purl stitches)
  • Intarsia color work
  • Some sewing

Pattern Description:

A snuggly pirate-y cushion cover (21" square). The picture design on the cushion could be knitted in intarsia by an INTERMEDIATE knitter or in relief by a BEGINNER knitter.

Gauge:

9 sts and 14 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 21" Square

Materials:

  • 400 yards red and 100 of cream Super Bulky weight yarn
  • 10mm needles (or size required to achieve gauge)
  • Spare 10mm needle (for 3 needle bind off)

You Will Also Need:

  • 18 inch closed end zipper
  • Red cotton thread

Suggested yarn:

500 yards of Bulky weight
