Pattern Description:

We love the simplicity of the textured stitches in this. And we can use up our scraps of yarns for this afghan to make many colorful stripes! You can get creative with various colors to match your home. This makes a nice gift too, as you probably won’t have to spend any money, just use up scrap yarn! Finished size is about 50” wide, and 58" long. Uses worsted weight yarns, and a 36" circular needle # 15. Pattern stitch is an easy 4 row repeat!

Gauge:

About 3 sts. and 4 rows = 1 inch

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn; put all your scraps of yarn in a plastic bag, weigh on the bathroom scale, and add more yarns until you have about 31/2 pounds. You can also use 2 strands of sport weight yarn held tog, in place of one strand of worsted. 36" circular needle, size 15

2520 yards of Worsted weight
