I love to knit - and crochet - and have designed knitting patterns for more than 40 years now...... As my partner is disabled I had to leave work and become a full time stay at home carer - this left me extra time to work on my knitting and crochet designs and for the last few years I have been introducing new patterns on a regular basis.
My first published book - 100 Tea Cosy Designs - is now available to buy from my craftsy store as a pdf. download and features a great range of tea cosies, phone covers, mug hugs, egg cosies etc. Everything from a Frozen theme Christmas Tree to my first ever cosy design, Ellie the Elephant.... all with simple row by row instructions -which is a feature of all my knitting and crochet patterns as I like to make them suitable even for those who have little or no experience.
As ive said I am a full time carer to my OH, a mum to 4 grown up children and Nanna to a rather large brood (see my profile photo lol) so no shortage of those to try out my patterns on.
Hope you will enjoy wandering through the designs in my store.
the poppy pattern was created many years ago on a holiday in cornwall where our camp site overlooked the most stunning field of bright red poppies.
It is easy to knit using standard single point needles and double knitting yarn - the pattern features row by row instructions and plain English (no complex jargon used). Base shown knitted in cream with bright red black and green used for the flowers and foliage. Make several cosies from just a few 100g balls of wool - we used acrylic yarns for ease of washing - pattern provides instructions to make a large tea cosy, standard cosy and small cosy.
