I love to knit - and crochet - and have designed knitting patterns for more than 40 years now...... As my partner is disabled I had to leave work and become a full time stay at home carer - this left me extra time to work on my knitting and crochet designs and for the last few years I have been introducing new patterns on a regular basis.
My first published book - 100 Tea Cosy Designs - is now available to buy from my craftsy store as a pdf. download and features a great range of tea cosies, phone covers, mug hugs, egg cosies etc. Everything from a Frozen theme Christmas Tree to my first ever cosy design, Ellie the Elephant.... all with simple row by row instructions -which is a feature of all my knitting and crochet patterns as I like to make them suitable even for those who have little or no experience.
As ive said I am a full time carer to my OH, a mum to 4 grown up children and Nanna to a rather large brood (see my profile photo lol) so no shortage of those to try out my patterns on.
Hope you will enjoy wandering through the designs in my store.
My first pig cosy ever was a present for a pig mad friend - they have always proved popular and so of course after many requests I published the pattern (many moons ago now) - it has been revamped slightly over time to incorporate more fun features like the wiggly eyes and a curly tail - button snout sets the expression off a treat - all made using double knit yarns (wool or acrylic as you prefer) with three size options small to large ..... Easy knitting with row by row instructions and no comlex jargon - just plain and purl - ability to decrease by knitting 2 stitches together and to keep it simple its all on single point needles and there isn't too much sewing up involved. The pattern has 2 styles, my original Little Piggy Cosy with comical features and the Pig Tea Cosy shown in the photos above.
