My knitting is inspired by the world around me wherever I am. Please take some time to browse the knitting patterns showcased here and be inspired to recreate some of these designs for yourself.
The design of the Ocean Currents Rug is reminiscent of gentle waves as they make their way to the shore. The patterning has symmetry without predictability, giving the design an almost three-dimensional quality. The wonderfully gentle gradations of colour are achieved by working with two strands of yarn held together in ever-changing combinations.
The sample shown is worked in handspun yarn in beautiful shades of toning blues, but the rug could equally well be worked in contrasting blacks, greys and reds or other colour combinations for a completely different look. Commercially available yarns can also be used in place of the handspun wool.

The pattern includes stitch charts and full line-by-line instructions and is available for immediate download as a pdf file formatted for US/Letter-sized paper. The pdf file can be printed out or viewed on a computer, iPad or iPhone directly.
The pattern is also available in a UK version for printing onto A4 stationery. Please let me know if you would prefer this version.
