Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit and purl stitches
  • Increases and decreases
  • Cable knitting

Pattern Description:

Protect your hands and keep your tea or coffee warm by knitting your own mug cozy.

Size: Fits standard size mug (measuring approx. 10"/26cm in circumference)

They are pretty easy to knit but you do need to know basic knit and purl stitches, increases and decreases


22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in Stocking Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Fits standard size mug (measuring approx. 10"/26cm in circumference)


  • 30-50yds aran/worsted weight yarn
  • Knitting needles in size US 6 (4mm)
  • Cable needle
  • Tapestry needle
  • Button

Suggested yarn:

50 yards of Worsted weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Sirdar Supersoft Aran
